Before we start you will need to learn a little bit about how email is sent, received and stored. There are basically two types of email. Those are web based and client based. Web based email is usually free and is available from most every major web portal such as AOL, Yahoo, or Google. With this form of email you must log onto the portals email server and from that point compose, send and receive messages. This is fine for most personal use but it does allow those same Internet portals access to your private messages. Another problem with web-based email is that it is stored at the provider’s site and should they lose your letters they are difficult if not impossible to recover.<span id="more-5"></span></p>
